Mary's Garden Wall

Originally from the U.S., Janet Tvedten-Fitzgerald lives with her husband, Seamus Fitzgerald, on their sheep farm in Dingle, County Kerry, Ireland. Jan is well known in the west of Ireland for her paintings of flora, fauna, and Irish village architecture, which are done entirely without brushes, using pallet knives to bring texture and depth to the art.  Jan also produces pencil and pastel portraits of Irish politicians, farmers, and villagers.  Her pencil portraits of famous Irish writers have been reproduced on greeting cards and are available in bookshops in Dingle.  Jan's work is showing at the Dykegate Street Gallery in Dingle Town Centre :
